Suar wood coffee table, hand-carved ripple - 61cm

A solid, circular table in black suar wood, its top carved by hand into gentle ripples that catch the light like still water disturbed. Four tapered legs carry the weight with quiet authority. At 61 cm across, it commands the centre of a room or anchors a corner between two chairs.

No two ripple patterns repeat—each carving is singular. The artisans who shape these pieces leave gentle imperfections and shifts in tone that mark every table as its own. Dust with a soft cloth, or wipe with mild soap on damp cloth and dry at once. Oil it seasonally to keep the wood supple and the surface warm.
