Kolaka is built from thick rattan fibres bent into a gentle curve with three legs — a shape that is stable on uneven floors and looks right in almost any room. The woven seating surface is made from thinner rattan strands worked with real skill, creating something that is both refined and genuinely hard-wearing under daily use.

At 1.2 kg it is light enough to move from room to room without a second thought, making it as useful as it is easy to live with. Each stool is made by hand, so the weave and natural colouring will vary slightly from piece to piece.
